![]() ![]() The game is a SLOG OF UNNECESSARY PUZZLES. I never finished it back then and I couldn't remember until I started playing it again. This was not my first go with the game though I had played it years ago when it first released. With the 1st title, the game had it's fair share of puzzle, but the pacing made up I picked this title up via the Playstation Network with the game bundle. What would be a 7 or 8 is now a 5 because I simply don't know if you'll have the patience to stick with it and see it through to its end. The good outweighs the bad, and it's fun enough to recommend. That would be my basic summary of the game. It's a good thing the other aspects of Darksiders II manages to make up for it. Lots of, "Complete these tasks and I will tell you who to talk to in order to get further in your quest." Whatever. There are some cool characters, but I can't say I particularly cared about what was going on. The story, one of the weaker aspects of the game, manages to be convoluted and thin. If you like Zelda or action RPG's, Darksiders II should be interesting to you at the very least. There's an excellent art style, fast-paced combat, loot and RPG elements, massive boss battles, and of course, the Zelda inspired puzzle filled dungeons. ![]() After several crashes, freezing, and animation errors, it became frustrating and ruined my experience with an otherwise solid game.
